Ride miles of forest routes

It's easy to explore the land of four rivers by ATV. You can ride from the front door of many Rusk County lodging properties into the far reaches of the area's backcountry, and you can find trails close to Ladysmith. ATV road routes are located throughout the county, allowing riders to travel from one community to another and access key trailheads. The county's bridges offer beautiful river views.ย Many miles of logging roads in the Rusk County Forest are open to ATV/UTVs.ย  Please refer to the Rusk County off road use map on the County Forest Recreation page to stay informed about which trails are open.ย  The County Forest is closed from March 15thย until June 15thย to all vehicular traffic.ย  State funded ATV Trails are open from May 1stย through March 15thย unless it is also a county snowmobile trail that is groomed for snowmobiling.

The Blue Hills area provides outstanding scenic riding on a 32-mile developed trail. Trail heads are located 12 miles north of Weyerhaeuser off County Highway F on North Bucks Lake Road near the Bucks Lake dam on Hemlock Creek.
